The Texas Health and Human Services Commission updates our strategic plans every two years in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2056. Each HHSC division and the Office of Inspector General contribute to the development of the strategic plans which define the system's mission, goals, objectives, and action items to address specific issues over a five-year period.

The Health and Human Services Commission and Department of State Health Services strategic plans for 2025-2029 are due no later than June 1, 2024. Email Strategic Plan Comments to provide input.
