Visitor Information

Please register at the Martha Allen Family Center prior to your visit. Terrell State Hospital is a tobacco-free facility.

Visiting Hours (Adults)

Monday–Friday: 7–8 p.m. 
Weekends and holidays: 1:30–2:30 p.m.

Visits with patients in the child and adolescent unit are typically on the weekend and arranged with the treatment team.

Visits with Children

Visitors to adult patients other than geriatric patients must be 14 or older. An adult must accompany visitors between the ages of 14 and 17. If you need to visit with an adolescent outside these times, please contact the patient’s treatment team.

The Martha Allen Family Center

The Martha Allen Family Center is designed to help bring families together. It provides a pleasant, homelike environment away from treatment units. Here, families and patients can visit and take part in therapeutic activities.
