Kerrville State Hospital serves people who have been acquitted of a criminal offense and committed by a court to receive inpatient mental health services.

Visitor Information
Families and significant others are crucial to the treatment process, and visitation is encouraged to further enhance treatment.
Currently, due to COVID-19, visitation days and hours have been amended. Visitation is scheduled in advance through the Social Services Department.
COVID-19 Visitation Schedule*:
Tuesday and Thursday: 6–8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–noon.
*Visitation schedule is subject to change according to community positivity rate.
Family Lodge
Family members and friends are welcome to use the overnight facility located on campus. Please schedule your stay in advance through the Social Services Department.
Volunteer
Volunteer at Kerrville State Hospital! Whether it’s for a day or a long-term basis, we welcome individuals and groups to volunteer at our campus for a variety of opportunities, including:
