Disaster Response Information for Providers and MCOs

In the event a disaster strikes, HHSC will provide specific information on flexibilities invoked. Examples of flexibilities are expedited provider enrollment, waiving out-of-network provider limitations, extending prior authorizations, waiving CHIP enrollment fees and co-pays.

What to do if you are impacted by an event

If an event occurs and you are impacted in a way that requires flexibility from your contract or daily course of business:

Proceed with your normal provider and MCO communications processes.

Provider Contacts:

  • Managed care providers - MCOs with whom you are credentialed
  • Fee-for-service providers - TMHP
  • Waiver providers - HHSC representatives for your waiver program

  • Your Managed Care Compliance and Operations team
