Purpose

  • To provide staff with a method of advising the cardholder that their Lone Star Card must be registered.
  • To provide the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) vendor with a method of advising the cardholder that their Lone Star Card must be registered.

Procedure

When to Issue

The local office EBT clerk affixes the Lone Star Card Registration Sticker to the front of an unregistered Lone Star Card when:

  • issuing a card to an authorized representative or a responsible household member other than the Primary Cardholder (PCH); or
  • mailing a Lone Star Card according to the local office security procedures.

The registration sticker advises the cardholder that they must call the Lone Star Help Desk to register their card. See B-233, Issuing a Lone Star Card, for further guidance.

The EBT vendor affixes the Lone Star Card Registration Sticker to the front of all unregistered Lone Star Cards mailed from its central facility.

Transmittal

Affix the Lone Star Card Registration Sticker to the front of all unregistered Lone Star Cards.
