PE/UR Duties and Contacts
Level of Care (LOC), Level of Need (LON) and Individual Plan of Care (IPC) utilization review activities are handled by the PE/UR clinical reviewer staff. The reviewer's primary responsibilities include:
- reviewing ID/RCs which determine an individual's diagnostic and programmatic eligibility and assignment of appropriate LOCs and LONs for Home and Community-based Services (HCS), Texas Home Living (TxHmL), and Intermediate Care Facilities for Persons with an Intellectual Disability (ICF/IID);
- reviewing and authorizing or denying LON change requests for HCS and ICF/IID; and
- reviewing individuals' IPC service justifications and authorizing or denying requested service amounts for HCS/TxHmL.
