Authority Waiver Enrollment Training
As required by Attachment K, all enrollment staff at a local intellectual and developmental disability authority must complete training for waiver program enrollments before performing enrollment activities and at least annually thereafter for as long as the staff performs enrollment activities for the LIDDA. The training is available through this webpage. Please follow these instructions to receive credit for completing the training.
- Review each of the three enrollment process instructions below:
- Complete the test and e-mail or fax it to your contract manager at the address listed on the test.
Note: The test is available in both PDF and MS Word formats. The Word version of the test can be completed on a computer and e-mailed to your contract manager; the PDF version of the test needs to be printed, completed by hand, and faxed. You only need to do one test.
CARE Basics for the HCS and TxHmL Interest Lists
This training provides basic instruction to register the names of individuals who request Home and Community Services and Texas Home Living services in the Client Assignment and Registration System. Topics in this training include adding, deleting, and transferring individuals' personal information for the HCS and TxHmL interest lists. This training is recommended for LIDDA staff who utilize CARE to complete HCS and TxHmL interest list processes. Click here to begin the training.
Community First Choice in Medicaid Managed Care Organizations Web-based Training
This training discusses Community First Choice as it applies to individuals receiving CFC services in Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. Topics in this training include the implementation of CFC as it applies to individuals who are not enrolled in an IDD waiver program, CFC services, necessary assessments and documentation to facilitate the review and authorization for CFC services, and the LIDDA's responsibilities and processes for CFC services in an MCO. This training is recommended for LIDDA staff and service coordinators who facilitate non-wavier CFC services and processes. Click here to begin the training.
Community First Choice in the HCS and TxHmL Programs Web-based Training
This training discusses the implementation of Community First Choice as it applies to individuals receiving services through the HCS and TxHmL waiver programs. Topics in this training include CFC services, provider qualifications, eligible living environments, individual plan of care renewal, and other important CFC service coordination topics such as transportation, financial management services and monitoring. This training is mandatory for all HCS and TxHmL service coordinators and includes a quiz with a minimum required score. Click here to begin the training.
