Director of Government & Stakeholder Relations, Amanda Martin

Amanda Montagne Martin is the director of government and stakeholder relations for the Health and Human Services Commission, serving as the principle liaison to local, state and federal elected officials.

She has worked in and out of the State Capitol during the last seven legislative sessions. Before joining HHSC, she was vice president of litigation center and advocacy for the Texas Association of Business.

Martin also worked for former state Sen. Tommy Williams as his legislative director and general counsel. She worked in the Texas Senate for 10 years and staffed the senator on various committees including State Affairs, Finance and Education.

A native of Orange, she graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to practice in Texas.
