Deputy Executive Commissioner for System Support Services, Chris Adams

Chris Adams is deputy executive commissioner for system support services for the Texas Health and Human Services system. In this position, he oversees the infrastructure support functions of the state’s health and human services agencies.

Before assuming his current role in 2016, he was human resources director at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. His state service includes working at the Texas Water Development Board, Office of the Attorney General and Texas Commission for the Blind. He has an extensive background in policy development and implementation, support services, and personnel management. Adams has guided several projects designed to streamline business operations and increase operational efficiency during his state tenure.

He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and the Governor's Executive Development Program.
