Chief Policy and Regulatory Officer, Victoria Ford

Victoria Ford is the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s first Chief Policy Officer.

In this role, Ford oversees the Office of Transformation, Office of Policy and Office of Performance. These offices create performance measures, track progress and oversee rules and policy and the HHS system's continuing transformation. Ford reports directly to the HHS Executive Commissioner.

Ford comes to HHS from K&L Gates. She was previously deputy legislative director and senior advisor for health and human services for former Gov. Rick Perry, handling issues related to private health care, public health, health insurance and health facility regulation. Before joining the governor’s office, she was a legislative assistant for State Sen. Frank Madla and legislative director for then-State Rep. Leticia Van de Putte.

Ford has an undergraduate degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
