The Texas Health and Human Services Commission adopted a rule about child-care centers reporting employees who leave employment. The rule is effective Dec. 15, 2020.
The adopted rule in Chapter 746, Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers, amends §746.303. It requires a licensed child-care center to report to Child Care Regulation all employees who stopped working at the center the previous calendar year by Jan. 15 of each year.
For the initial reporting period, Jan. 1 – Jan. 15, 2021, each child-care center will report the number through a survey created and distributed by CCR. CCR will email a link to complete the survey to all child-care centers by Jan. 1, 2021. To ensure timely completion of the survey, CCR recommends each center begin compiling the data before to January 15.
Child-care centers will report the number through the center's online provider account in following years. CCR will provide more information and instruction once that mechanism is available.
