IL2020-46 Renewal of ID/RC Assessments and IPCs and Requirements for Revised IPCs and Transfer IPCs (PDF) is published and replaces IL20-12.
IL2020-46 provides guidance and further information on:
- Renewal of intellectual disability or related condition assessments and individual plans of care. They are automatically renewing for one year from the expiration date for ID/RCs and IPCS expiring through Dec. 30, 2020.
- The provider or case manager completes ID/RCs and IPCs that are set to expire Dec. 31, 2020 and renewal ID/RCs and IPCs before the expiration date.
- Complete renewal ID/RCs by telehealth and renewal IPCs by telehealth or phone.
- Continued exception to the requirement that a person or legally authorized representative sign an IPC and supporting documentation.
These actions ensure individuals continue to receive services during the COVID-19 public health emergency and there is continued flexibility for limiting face-to-face contact for waiver renewals and service plan revisions. If a person loses waiver eligibility during the PHE, they will maintain waiver services.
