Dear Child Care Provider,
We want to let you know about two changes going into effect December 16, 2019. The first is that the online inspection history for all operations is expanding from three to five years. This change is to comply with Senate Bill 568 passed by the 86th Legislature.
Next, Child Care Licensing (CCL) is introducing a new form, Interim Investigation Letter, for use during an investigation conducted by the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). The letter allows CCL to cite an operation for investigation-related deficiencies during the investigation so that high-risk deficiencies can be addressed more timely. CCL will continue to send the Investigation Letter at the end of a DFPS investigation. This letter will be cumulative and include the citations issued during the investigation and the citations issued at the end.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your local licensing office.
