Region 6 providers are invited to attend the second CMS Emergency Preparedness Boot Camp for 2019 hosted by SETRAC and partners. The CMS Boot Camp Workshop will review the new CMS rules, strategies to meet them and adapt to future changes, define role of the local emergency partners, regional and state governments and coalition involvement.

Light breakfast and lunch will be served on site. The following information will be presented:

Morning Sessions:

  • CMS forecasted rule updates and strategies on how to remain in compliance
  • Petroleum-chemical industry hazards and response overview
  • Dialysis in disasters

Afternoon Sessions:

  • Hands-on workshop for emergency notifications and bed reporting system EMResource, including its use during daily activities or during individual and regional events.
  • Exercise building and design session will be a breakout workshop exploring writing specific objectives, scenario building, documentation, best practices and requirements are explored.
