Providers Must Update Permissions to Use the New PCSP Form

The new PASRR Comprehensive Service Plan form is available. The new PCSP form replaces the Interdisciplinary Team Meeting and PASRR Specialized Services forms.

Nursing Facility and Local Authority Long Term Care Online Portal administrators will need to add both PCSP Viewer and PCSP Submitter permissions for their LTC Online Portal users to be able to successfully view and submit the PCSP form. Managed care organization providers who want to view the PCSP form will only need to add the PCSP Viewer permission.

Go to My Account, select Modify Permissions, and select one or both PCSP check boxes on the right-hand side. The PCSP form has security access based on user type. After checking the PCSP Viewer, the PCSP Submitter box, or both, administrators will need to click Update Permissions to apply the changes.

Providers can refer to “Update: New PASRR Comprehensive Service Plan Form Available for LA and NF Providers on January 26, 2019” for more information, or call the TMHP Long Term Care Help Desk at 800-626-4117, Option 1.

PASRR and the Election of Hospice Services

Residents who are PASRR-positive for IDD, and are 21 years of age or older, are now eligible to receive PASRR NF specialized services and hospice care concurrently.

Effective Feb. 1, 2019, the NF is responsible for convening a PASRR interdisciplinary team meeting for a designated resident who elects hospice care. Because the hospice provider is the primary entity responsible for the individual’s plan of care, the NF must notify and include the hospice provider, as well as the local intellectual and developmental disability authority, in the PASRR IDT meeting for a resident receiving hospice care.

The NF’s additional responsibilities for these residents can be found in Information Letter (IL) No. 19-03 Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Nursing Facility Specialized Services and the Election of Hospice Services.

Any questions regarding the content of IL No. 19-03 should be directed to the HHSC PASRR unit by email or phone at 855-435-7180.
