The Health and Human Services Commission will repost the cancelled Request for Proposal for the STAR+PLUS program July 23 and it will be posted for 30 days. The original RFP was cancelled on July 5.
This statewide procurement includes the Bexar, Central Texas, Dallas, El Paso, Harris, Hidalgo, Jefferson, Lubbock, Northeast Texas, Nueces, Tarrant, Travis and West Texas service areas. HHSC intends to award contracts to provide covered services to STAR+PLUS eligible members to at least two managed care organizations in each service area.
STAR+PLUS is a Texas Medicaid managed care program integrating the delivery of acute care services and long-term services and supports for people who are 65 or older or have disabilities. The program operates under Section 1115 of the Social Security Act as part of a demonstration project and Section 1915 of the Social Security Act as part of the Texas § 1915 (c) waivers.

HHSC will not be liable for any costs incurred by respondents in reliance on this notice. HHSC reserves the right to accelerate or delay any of the anticipated dates.
