“Requesting Specialized Services through the TMHP Portal,” a free training released by the Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services at Texas Health and Human Services, is now available online.
This training explains how to submit a request for pre-authorization of nursing facility specialized services in the LTC Online Portal on behalf of a resident. Specialized services are support services and nursing facility services identified through the PASRR Evaluation process.
PASRR is a mandated program applied to all individuals seeking admission to a Medicaid-certified nursing facility, regardless of funding source.
Specialized services are provided to residents who are Medicaid eligible and have a diagnosis of:
- Mental illness
- Intellectual disability
- Developmental disability (Related condition)
To complete this free, online training, visit the HHS Learning Portal, create a user login and follow the instructions.
Questions can be emailed to PASRR.firstname.lastname@example.org.
