The amendment:

  • Changes cost reporting requirements from annually to biennially (every 2 years).
  • Removes language regarding funds appropriated by the 84th Texas Legislature (2015) for optional provider rate increases and associated provider requirements. The 85th Texas Legislature (2017) did not maintain the appropriation for rate increases.
  • Reflects HHSC administrative authority over the TxHmL waiver with regard to rate methodology rules.
